Identify the stages behind the overlay
Capture supplies the frame. Detection identifies a candidate region within that frame. Tracking tries to match a region with observations in nearby frames. The overlay displays what the program chooses to show. A separate control stage can act on an observation, but it has its own output. A labeled rectangle in the preview is evidence of a drawn rectangle and can be compared with the original picture.
The distinction matters with look-alike objects. A detector can identify two correct regions on both sides of a transition while the tracker assigns their identities differently after the transition. Two correct boxes in a still image cannot settle whether the identities remained consistent.
Keep the video path separate from the controller path
ConsoleTuner documents host-side video and Python support in Gtuner IV. It describes Titan Two’s controller connections separately. A screenshot of the Computer Vision preview identifies which source is visible to the host. The screenshot alone cannot identify the code running elsewhere or show a change in controller output.
For video review, work from a recording and leave controller output disconnected from the experiment. This lets you ask whether an observation appeared in the expected part of a frame without testing a tool in a live match. Any separate claim about permitted automation depends on the publisher and game mode.

Audit three frames around an occlusion
Use a saved clip containing two similar harmless in-game objects, such as menu icons or practice markers, where one becomes briefly obscured. Compare the original picture and overlay before, during, and after the obstruction. Write one observation per stage. Note whether the object is visible, whether a box appears, and whether the displayed identity follows the same object after it reappears.
An illustrative result has both objects boxed before the obstruction, only the visible object boxed during it, and the old identity attached to the other object afterward. This is evidence of an identity change in that clip. It does not measure controller behavior or the rate of identity changes across different scenes.
