Gtuner IV and GPC

Fix a Titan Two GPC compile error in Gtuner IV

A compile error means Gtuner IV did not produce a usable build from the current source. The Output Panel is the starting point. A successful build is a separate milestone from a successful installation or a working controller output.

Read the first error and its context

Start with the first error in a fresh compile and read the surrounding source lines. A missing delimiter or an incomplete declaration can make later lines appear invalid. Fix one cause, save and recompile. This keeps a long error list from turning into several unnecessary edits.

For an unknown identifier, check its exact spelling and whether the file needs an author-supplied header. For a missing file, verify the archive extraction, relative locations and whether the correct main file is open. Record the full diagnostic and the Gtuner IV version if you need help from the author.

Check the project’s target and generation

The same GPC extension is used in more than one device generation. Confirm the author’s target. ConsoleTuner documents a Titan One compatibility header in its Gtuner IV changelog, and some older work requires that compatibility layer. Follow the project’s instructions and test the translated behavior. A successful build alone does not establish that an older project works unchanged.

If your edit broke a previously working script, compile the untouched copy first using the same installation. If the original builds, reintroduce your changes in small steps. If neither version builds, the dependency or application version is a better first place to look.

Move to runtime checks after compilation

After a clean build, install to a spare slot and select it. Test one expected action in Device Monitor. If a build succeeds but its output is wrong, return to the active slot, current settings and input identifiers. Do not confuse a stale running slot with a new build that was never installed.
