TITAN TWO

Hardware and setup

Titan Two ports explained: INPUT-A, INPUT-B, OUTPUT and PROG

Titan Two has two front USB host ports and two rear micro-USB ports. The label beside each connector matters even when two plugs look identical.

The front controller inputs

INPUT-A is the normal location for the controller you intend to use. INPUT-B is another controller input and the suggested location for a compatible original controller when the destination needs authentication. The device reference places INPUT-A highest in the input priority order. Give each controller a clear job when testing a setup that has more than one attached.

Inputs from multiple devices are merged into a single output. A second gamepad therefore does not create a second player on the host. When two people need separate player positions, the destination must see separate controller connections. That is a different setup from combining, for example, two controls for a single player.

The two rear USB connectors

OUTPUT is the controller-facing link to the console or PC. PROG is the link used by Gtuner IV to configure the adapter, install profiles or inspect live signals. The two connectors can be used at the same time with separate cables. ConsoleTuner also documents alternate OTG input use for each rear port, but it occupies the same physical connection as the port’s ordinary role.

For fault isolation, label each cable at its free end. A swapped OUTPUT and PROG cable can leave the adapter lit even though neither the console nor the configuration computer sees the intended interface.

The other rear connections

The microSD slot extends the device’s storage and supports features that need extra files. The separate power jack is for the compatible external power supply. A cable in one of these locations cannot substitute for the OUTPUT data connection. If only one link is misbehaving, test that link by itself before moving the rest of the wiring.
