Check the approved power specifications
ConsoleTuner lists its external supply as 7.5 volts DC at 2 amps with a 4.0 by 1.7 millimeter connector. The device reference specifies a positive center pin. Verify the voltage, polarity and connector against the device documentation before connecting a supply. A plug that physically fits does not establish electrical compatibility.
Use the documented Titan supply or a replacement explicitly rated for the device. Do not force a connector or substitute a supply based on voltage alone. The external power input supplies power and does not replace the USB data connection to the destination.
Recognize when power is a plausible cause
The device reference calls for external power when the USB port’s power budget is exceeded and discusses it for Bluetooth output configurations. A setup that resets only after a charging controller or accessory is attached warrants a simpler test. Remove optional devices and see whether the adapter remains stable with the shortest known-good data cable and a single controller.
Also check the host’s USB port and the cable fit. A loose plug can produce symptoms that resemble a power problem, so avoid diagnosing power solely from an unexpected disconnect.
Rebuild the setup incrementally
Reconnect each accessory one at a time and note when the reset returns. If an external supply is necessary, verify the same baseline again after connecting it. Record the exact accessory, cable and port combination so the failing case can be reproduced without changing several variables at once.
