Read the PS5 compatibility notes first
ConsoleTuner’s release history describes PS5 controller drivers and PS5 output modes. The linked Titan Two shop’s setup guide separately flags an additional P5General device for PS5 games on a PS5 and labels its older direct connection notes experimental. Treat those statements as different setups and verify the exact combination before buying an accessory or relying on the connection.
Write down the game version, adapter firmware, console software and controller or accessory model. Two tests described as “working on PS5” can differ in any one of those details. Compare reports that use the same game version and connection method.
Verify the physical links
For the documented wired configuration, enable USB communication for controllers in the PS5 accessories settings, route the cable from Titan Two OUTPUT to the console and review the matching output protocol in Gtuner IV. Follow the current documentation for the controller or authentication accessory that belongs on the input side. Establish a stable wired baseline before adding wireless features.
A direct test of the controller on the PS5 can eliminate a cable or controller pairing issue. Sony recommends a cable that carries both charging and data for a wired controller connection.
Test in the right order
With a clean slot, check navigation and basic buttons. Then open the exact game version you intend to use and observe whether the controls remain connected. If the home screen works but the game does not, investigate game-version compatibility and authentication before making changes to button mappings.
